SOLIDARITY

What it means for us

What solidarity means to us.

Southern Ohio Folklife is an organization made up of individuals that imagine, research, listen, and act in intentional ways to further social and environmental justice goals in concrete ways. We believe in the equality and dignity of all people and the interconnection of liberation movements across the world. We acknowledge that working toward solidarity and justice are active, imperfect processes that require continual reflection, reflexivity, and fine-tuning. This page provides insight into our current goals, concerns, resources, and practices. Reach out to us if you have ideas to help refine our work!

Making our work accessible.

We are passionate about language justice and are building capacity and structures to make our content available in both Spanish and English. Our collaborations with language-access providers, organizations, and experts builds a web of connections that support language access infrastructure across southern Ohio.

Our ADA strategic plan guides our decisions about event hosts and logistics so that everyone can access our programming.

Accessibility questions, requests, or complaints can be directed to Executive Director, Cassie Rosita Patterson at southernohiofolklife@gmail.com.
